There is a negative relationship between mental health quality and job performance. A higher mental health quality (i.e., less mental health symptoms) increases job performance of government officials.
Research Implication
Varying degrees of challenges posted by COVID-19, employee’s mental health well being needs to be taken care of first. The need to regulate and monitor the use of personal- owned social media accounts in an organisational context, either within the workplace setting or beyond office operating hours. Employers/superiors and employees should be aware that the manner they use the application for their working life affects their level of mental health quality, which subsequently would influence their performance.
